Foundational Fun and Faith!

View All Post

Camp is a special opportunity to share the Gospel because it involves thrilling adventures and exciting activities within a Christ-centered environment that is led by an amazing group of counselors.

It is Myla’s second year at Camp and this 2nd grader has jumped right into what Camp has to offer! Her cabin has spent time on the Lake, at Bullseye Bend, and in Arts & Crafts, and Myla has enjoyed them all because “all of the activities are really fun!” But the best part of her day is going to worship.

“My favorite thing is worship. I like to do the dance songs for God!”

Explorers have their own Musical Worship time in the mornings where they participate in interactive songs. This is an opportunity for our younger campers to engage in this spiritual discipline in a fun way, something Myla has taken advantage of. Right after worship, cabins are led in Bible Study by their counselors. Every day, there is a spiritual theme that goes through Quiet Time, Bible Study, and evening Devos so that campers can dig deeper into these truths and discover how they are applicable to their own lives.

“Jesus died on the cross and helps us live.”

Even our young campers like Myla are able to grow in their faith. Every Bible Study is paired with an activity that serves as a visual representation of the Bible story they will be reading. One activity that Myla did was make a cross out popsicle sticks and then decorate it. That morning, campers learned about Jesus’s death on the cross and why it happened.

Learning these foundational truths of the Bible is critical for this next generation as they are growing up in our changing world. Myla’s understanding of the cross and Jesus’s role in our lives is something that will continue to develop as she keeps coming to Camp.

“Camp is super fun and I like to learn about God in Bible Study!”

Cho-Yeh’s mission is to see campers’ lives transformed by Jesus as they are embarking on exciting adventures and meeting new friends. We cannot wait to see how Myla’s faith blossoms in the years to come!
